macOS Installation & Gatekeeper

Early builds aren't code-signed with an Apple Developer ID yet. Homebrew installs the app and re-signs it automatically so it launches on current macOS. Manual .dmg or .zip installs need one approval: Right-click → Open on macOS 14 or earlier; on macOS 15 or later, try to open the app once, then choose System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

HydraTree uses OAuth and PAT tokens only — your GitHub or GitLab password is never stored.

Installation

Four steps to first launch

macOS

  1. Run: brew install --cask MangkornKW/hydratree/hydratree
  2. Or download the .dmg and drag HydraTree to Applications
  3. Launch HydraTree from Applications
  4. Connect your GitHub.com or GitLab accounts

Windows

  1. Download the .exe installer
  2. Run the installer
  3. Follow the setup wizard
  4. Launch and connect your GitHub.com or GitLab accounts
